Privacy policy

This policy applies to mj-partner.com. The website processes as little data as possible: without your consent it sets only one cookie for your choice of language. Google Analytics cookies are only set if you agree (section 5).

2. Hosting and server logs

The website is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and is delivered over its network. On every request, Vercel processes technically necessary data: IP address, date and time, the address requested, browser and operating system. This is needed to deliver the page and to protect it against attacks. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in secure operation (Art. 6(1)(f) of the GDPR (DSGVO), the EU General Data Protection Regulation).

There is a data processing agreement with Vercel (Art. 28 GDPR). Vercel is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework. The transfer to the USA is based on the adequacy decision of the European Commission (Art. 45 GDPR).

3. Fonts, images and films

Fonts, images, films and PDF documents are stored on the same server as the website. For these there is no connection to Google Fonts, YouTube or other providers. For Google Analytics see section 5.

4. Choice of language

When you open the home page, the server reads your browser's language setting (Accept-Language) in order to forward you to the matching language version. That information is neither stored nor linked with any other data. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a comprehensible presentation (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

If you choose a language yourself in the language switch, your browser stores that choice for one year in the cookie “lang”. It contains only the language code, for example “en”, and serves solely to respect your choice on your next visit. This is strictly necessary for that service requested by you (§ 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG, the German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act). You can delete the cookie in your browser at any time.

5. Cookies and Google Analytics

On your first visit, a small notice at the bottom asks whether we may use Google Analytics. Until then there is no connection to Google: Google’s program (gtag.js) is only loaded once you choose “Accept”. Then Google sets the cookies “_ga” and “_ga_…” (stored for up to 2 years) and analyse your visit. If you choose “Decline” or nothing, it stays that way. Your browser stores your choice locally under “consent” so that we do not ask again on every visit.

Google Analytics shows us which pages are read, how often and for how long, on which device and roughly from which region. This tells us which topics interest you. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland. Your IP address, the pages you visit, date and time and details of your browser and device are sent to Google. Google Analytics 4 does not store IP addresses. Data may go to Google LLC in the USA. Google is certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework (Art. 45 GDPR). We have a data processing agreement with Google (Art. 28 GDPR).

The legal basis is your consent (Section 25(1) TDDDG, Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR). You can withdraw it at any time via “Cookie settings” at the bottom of every page. More on how Google handles data: policies.google.com/privacy.

6. Calculators

What you enter in our calculators is calculated in your browser only. It is transmitted neither to us nor to Vercel and is not stored. In the calculators for deposit protection and for inheritance tax, your entries additionally appear behind the “#” sign in the address bar, so that you can save the result as a link or pass it on. Browsers do not send this part of the address to the server, so it appears in no server log. Only the people you send it to can see the link. The calculators take no decisions about you (Art. 22 GDPR), they only show a simplified model calculation.

7. Contact by phone and email

The “Write an email” form does not itself send anything. It opens your own email program with a prepared message that you send yourself. If you call us or write to us, we process your details in order to answer your enquiry and, where appropriate, to prepare for a conversation (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). Your details are voluntary. Without a name and a way to reach you, however, we cannot reply. The recipient is Michael Jung. Incoming emails are also held at his email provider. We do not pass your data on to third parties and we do not sell it. We delete the data as soon as it is no longer needed for that purpose, unless statutory retention periods require otherwise.

Booking an appointment: the “Book a call” button leads to the TidyCal booking calendar (Sumo Group Inc., Austin, Texas, USA). If you pick a time there, you enter your name and email address. TidyCal stores them for Michael Jung so that he can reach you at the agreed time (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR). The data may be processed in the USA. We delete it as soon as it is no longer needed for this purpose.

8. Links to other websites

For every figure we link to the source, for example public authorities and legal texts. Only when you click such a link do you leave our website. The privacy policy of the respective provider then applies.

On the page “Buy gold and silver”, the button “Open a free gold account” leads to the sign-up page of NOVEM Gold (Novem Gold Storage GmbH, Linz, Austria). The link contains a partner ID of Michael Jung, so that NOVEM assigns you to him as your contact person. Whatever you enter there is processed by NOVEM under its own privacy policy. We do not receive any data about your use of our website through it.
